The processes that can cause a deterioration of cement and concrete works are many and varied in nature: physical causes (freezing and thawing, erosion, thermal), structural (overload, movement), chemical (acids, sulfates), electrochemical (internal galvanic) and also biological (algae, lichens).
The corrosion directly affects the armor of the cement works, and indirectly the concrete, for the consequences that the corrosion of reinforcement leads to concrete.
Actions that we may perform are different depending on the degradation achieved by the surface to be treated: chipping deteriorated concrete, removal of unstable elements, blasting, passivation with alkaline systems based on cement polymer, fluids epoxy injection to eliminate cracks and discontinuity, volumetric recovery with the use of technical mortars, elastomeric coating cycle.
